Climate Change in Pakistan

Climate change is a serious problem that is affecting the whole world, and Pakistan is one of the countries most at risk. It means changes in weather patterns, such as rising temperatures, more floods, droughts, and unpredictable rainfall.
In Pakistan, the effects of climate change are becoming more visible every year. The country experiences very hot summers and short winters. Glaciers in the northern areas are melting quickly, causing floods in rivers like the Indus. In 2022, Pakistan faced devastating floods that affected millions of people and destroyed homes, crops, and roads.
Due to climate change, farmers are also suffering. The changing seasons and lack of rainfall make it difficult to grow food. Many people depend on agriculture in Pakistan, so this affects the whole economy.
Another big problem is air pollution and deforestation. Cutting down trees and burning fuel releases harmful gases into the air. These gases trap heat and make the planet warmer, which causes more problems like heatwaves and stronger storms.
To fight climate change, Pakistan is taking some steps. The government started the “10 Billion Tree Tsunami” project to plant more trees. Trees help clean the air and keep the environment cool. People are also encouraged to save electricity, use clean energy, and avoid using plastic.
In conclusion, climate change is a real danger to Pakistan’s environment, economy, and people. Everyone, from the government to ordinary citizens, must work together to protect our country. Planting trees, saving water, and using clean energy can help us build a better and safer future.
