Infection Prevention Training Boosts Healthcare Skills in ICT

A five-day Regional Training of Trainers on Infection Prevention and Control has been launched in Islamabad to strengthen the capacity of healthcare providers across the region. The event, organized by Jhpiego, gathered participants from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
The training aims to enhance participants’ technical knowledge and hands-on skills in infection prevention, a crucial step towards safer and more effective healthcare delivery. During the opening session, the District Health Officer of Islamabad emphasized the importance of adopting best practices to minimize infection risks in medical settings.
This initiative demonstrates a unified commitment by regional health authorities and organizations to improve infection control standards. By investing in the professional development of healthcare workers, the program seeks to ensure public health safety and elevate the quality of patient care across multiple regions.
