Pakistan Medical & Dental Council paid tribute on 10 May 2026 to the nation and the Armed Forces on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos by awarding Kharaj-e-Tahseen to those who stood at the forefront of the crisis.
In an issued statement President Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj said Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos demonstrated the professional excellence and outstanding military capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces. He highlighted that under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir the armed forces successfully defended the sovereignty and dignity of the motherland and that Marka-e-Haq will be remembered as a symbol of national unity and resilience.
The Council specifically recognized the exceptional services, patriotism and dedication of Pak Army healthcare professionals, rescue teams and all individuals who remained steadfast during this critical period. PMDC paid Kharaj-e-Tahseen as an expression of national gratitude for their sacrifice and service.
Expressing solidarity on behalf of the medical fraternity, the Council acknowledged the invaluable services rendered by the armed forces for the peace and safety of the people of Pakistan and praised the continued role of doctors and healthcare workers on the frontline during Marka-e-Haq.
Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj reiterated that the medical community once again showed exceptional commitment, compassion and resilience, reflecting the finest values of the profession and strengthening the bond of unity and collective responsibility across the country.
The Council also paid tribute to national leadership for their efforts to protect human life, promote national solidarity and advance public welfare, commending their unwavering commitment, vision and resolve during challenging times.
PMDC conveyed condolences and solidarity to families affected during the difficult period and offered prayers for peace, stability and prosperity for Pakistan as the nation marks the anniversary of Marka-e-Haq.
