Haider Ali Seeks More Glory After Sitara-e-Imtiaz

Haider Ali dedicated his Sitara-e-Imtiaz to his parents, saying their sacrifices, encouragement and prayers were decisive in his rise to becoming one of Pakistan’s leading para-athletes. He described the civil award as the fulfilment of a lifelong ambition to bring international recognition to the country through sports.

Ali said it had always been his dream to represent Pakistan on the world stage and to win honours for the nation. He expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah, his parents and everyone who supported him throughout his career, adding that this recognition strengthens his resolve to achieve more for Pakistan.

The athlete paid particular tribute to the National Paralympic Committee of Pakistan for consistent backing during his journey, noting that institutional support was crucial to his international success. He also acknowledged the role of Pakistan WAPDA, whose assistance helped provide stability and opportunities.

Ali thanked Rd. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed, CEO of ACTIVIT and Director at National Hospital DHA Lahore, for essential contributions to his preparations. The support in medical care, nutritional guidance and financial assistance allowed him to focus on training and competition at the highest level.

Looking ahead, Haider Ali has set his sights on the Asian Para Games in October, the World Championship in Tashkent next year and ultimately the LA Paralympics 2028. He vowed to keep working hard to add more international medals and to continue raising Pakistan’s flag on the global para-sport stage.
