Boosting Balochistan Federal Cooperation
On 9 June 2026 at Parliament House in Islamabad, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met with Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, with Provincial Minister for Communications and Works Saleem Khan Khosa also in attendance.
The meeting focused on strengthening links between the federation and Balochistan, promoting sustained cooperation and greater harmony. Participants carried out a detailed review of ongoing development projects in the province, public welfare initiatives, and infrastructure improvement plans aimed at advancing the overall progress of Balochistan.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stressed the need to reinforce effective liaison, build mutual trust and deepen collaboration, noting that Balochistan cooperation with the federal government is essential for Pakistan’s development, prosperity and national stability. He underscored the importance of continuous engagement to address provincial challenges, drive development priorities and secure durable solutions to citizens’ concerns.
Attendees reaffirmed their commitment to the stability of democratic institutions, the promotion of parliamentary traditions, inter-provincial harmony and national unity. They agreed on coordinated efforts to protect national interests and advance public welfare while praising provincial steps toward peace, stability and public service. Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail welcomed the Speaker’s interest and support and pledged to further strengthen positive cooperation between the federation and the province.
