The Pakistan Africa Economic Council (PAEC) Federal Chapter convened an oath-taking ceremony at the COMSTECH Secretariat in Islamabad to reaffirm its commitment to deepening Pakistan Africa cooperation across trade, investment and education.<\/p>\n

Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan<\/strong>, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, attended as the chief guest and congratulated the newly elected office bearers, describing the ceremony as a renewed pledge to integrity and economic diplomacy. He emphasised PAEC\u2019s role as a bridge between Pakistan and African economies and aligned the council’s efforts with the government\u2019s export-led growth, market diversification and South\u2013South cooperation priorities.<\/p>\n

The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran and the National Anthem. Welcome remarks were delivered by Dr. Abdul Basit<\/strong>, Senior Vice President PAEC Islamabad Region, and addresses outlining PAEC\u2019s vision and roadmap were presented by Dr. Shahbaz Ali Malik<\/strong>, Founder Chairman PAEC, and Mr. Shaikh Rashid Alam<\/strong>, Secretary General PAEC.\"\"<\/p>\n

Ahead of the oath-taking, PAEC unveiled several practical measures to strengthen Pakistan Africa ties, including the launch of 100 scholarships and 100 internships for African nationals to promote education and skills development in Pakistan. The leadership also announced steps to facilitate visa access, ease payment processes for businesses and provide hands-on support for trade and investment cooperation. As part of outreach to African citizens, a 30% fee concession at the Rawal Institute of Health Sciences and the Ujala Centre of Excellence was introduced.<\/p>\n

The oath of office for the new PAEC Federal Chapter team was administered by the chief guest, followed by distribution of souvenirs. Mr. Abdul Wajid<\/strong>, President PAEC Federal Chapter, offered a vote of thanks to dignitaries and participants, while Mr. Muhammad Murtaza Noor<\/strong>, Secretary General PAEC Islamabad Chapter, formally closed the proceedings and reiterated the council\u2019s resolve to advance sustained Pakistan Africa engagement.<\/p>\n
