Lahore, July 11, 2026:<\/strong> The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has launched an intensive training camp for the Pakistan Senior Men’s National Hockey Team as preparations gather pace for the upcoming Hockey World Cup.<\/p>\n

The camp, being held under the direct supervision of the national coaching staff, is built around a high performance model that combines modern sports science, technical improvement and strategic planning. The PHF says the programme is aimed at strengthening the team’s competitiveness at international level.<\/p>\n

Coaches are working with the players on a daily basis to improve individual skills, tactical awareness and team coordination. Training sessions have been structured to help players make better decisions under pressure while also improving match fitness.<\/p>\n

The squad’s fitness programme has also been upgraded, with daily assessments being conducted to track progress and maintain peak physical condition. The team’s diet plans have been reviewed by sports nutrition experts to support energy levels, recovery and overall performance.<\/p>\n

In a significant step, the PHF has introduced advanced GPS monitoring devices during training sessions for the first time. The systems provide real time data on speed, endurance, workload and recovery rates, allowing the coaching staff to assess each player’s physical output more closely.<\/p>\n

This data is being studied alongside detailed video analysis to identify areas requiring improvement and to make timely changes to training methods.<\/p>\n

The training programme is also being supported by international coaches working with the PHF’s local coaching staff. Officials said the collaboration is intended to help Pakistani players prepare according to global standards before the World Cup.<\/p>\n

PHF officials maintained that player development remains a continuous process, adding that the camp has been designed to identify talent, address weaknesses and build a squad capable of producing consistent performances at the highest level.<\/p>\n
