LAHORE: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), in partnership with Humnava, has released \u201cSway,\u201d a global music collaboration co-curated by acclaimed producer Xulfi, as the federation\u2019s first national cultural moment celebrating football in Pakistan.<\/p>\n
Shot in the mountains of Hunza and the streets of Lyari, \u201cSway\u201d brings together artists from around the world and seeks to give a global voice to Pakistan\u2019s football dream.<\/p>\n
According to the PFF, the collaboration connects football, music and culture at a time when the sport is gaining renewed momentum across the country. The track has been described as a soundtrack for the conversations, hopes and communities growing around football nationwide, linking Pakistan\u2019s cultural diversity with its long-standing love for the game.<\/p>\n
The release comes after a significant period for Pakistan football. The national men\u2019s team recently won the Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament in the Maldives, defeating Afghanistan in the final. It was Pakistan\u2019s first football title in 35 years and its first standalone tournament title in 74 years.<\/p>\n
The women\u2019s national team has also recorded a landmark achievement, making its first appearance on the FIFA stage at the 2026 FIFA Series in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire. It was the first time Pakistan\u2019s women\u2019s team featured in a senior FIFA-sanctioned event. The team began its campaign with an 8-0 win over the Turks and Caicos Islands, the biggest victory in its history, and went on to finish third in the group.<\/p>\n
Beyond the national teams, football remains deeply rooted in Pakistan\u2019s communities. The game is played in neighbourhood grounds, schools, academies and local communities from Lyari to Chitral, Karachi to Lahore, and Quetta to Gilgit-Baltistan. It is followed by generations of supporters who view football as a source of identity, aspiration and belonging.<\/p>\n
Through \u201cSway,\u201d PFF and Humnava aim to bring the wider football community into a national conversation about the state of Pakistan football, the people who have carried the game forward and the dream of where it can go next.<\/p>\n
PFF President Mohsen Gilani said Pakistan\u2019s football story belongs to every player, coach, supporter and community that has kept the game alive across the country. He said the men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams were creating moments that were giving supporters new reasons to believe.<\/p>\n
Xulfi, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Humnava, said the dream of seeing Pakistan on the world stage grows stronger with every World Cup, every upset, every underdog moment and every winning goal.<\/p>\n
\u201cMusic carries that same promise \u2014 every raw voice, every song hummed, every melody that refuses to stay unheard \u2014 until we can\u2019t help but imagine it reaching the world, carrying the Voice of Pakistan with it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added that Lyari had been home to both football and music, with its streets cheering goals and nurturing voices. He referred to Better Future Pakistan going unbeaten abroad to lift the Norway Cup, and to Eva B and Kaifi Khalil rising from the same streets to global recognition.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt reminds us that football is more than a game, and music is more than sound \u2014 they are both proof that a place written off by everyone else can still produce something the whole world stops to listen to. They\u2019re a reason to forget our differences. A reason to share love,\u201d Xulfi said.<\/p>\n
