ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB) I-8\/3 held a prize distribution ceremony to recognise students who obtained more than 1,000 marks in the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual Examination 2026.<\/p>\n
The ceremony was arranged to celebrate the college\u2019s outstanding academic performance and honour its leading position holders. Hamdan Shamshair secured 1,073 marks out of 1,100, taking first position in the college as well as first position among all boys\u2019 institutions working under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE).<\/p>\n
Among other high achievers, Suban Shamshair stood second in the college with 1,058 marks, Abdul Wasay secured third position with 1,031 marks, while Muhammad Sheesh obtained 1,019 marks and secured fourth position.<\/p>\n
The students were awarded shields, appreciation certificates, Chromebooks and bouquets in recognition of their performance. Hamdan Shamshair was also presented a cash prize of Rs20,000, while the second, third and fourth position holders received Rs10,000 each.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the occasion, IMCB I-8\/3 Principal Prof Shahid Mahmood Abbasi congratulated the students and praised the commitment and hard work of the faculty. He said the joint efforts of teachers and students had helped the college achieve a historic 99 per cent pass rate and a GPA of 3.97, the highest in the institution\u2019s history.<\/p>\n
Prof Abbasi said academic excellence, discipline and commitment to quality education remained the distinguishing features of the college. He urged students to maintain their focus and continue working for higher achievements.<\/p>\n
Parents present at the ceremony appreciated the college administration for acknowledging the success of students. They termed the event an encouraging initiative that would motivate students to pursue academic excellence.<\/p>\n
