Islamabad<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Acting on the directives of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad<\/strong>, Muhammad Ali Randhawa<\/strong>, the Capital Development Authority (CDA)<\/strong> has initiated an aggressive recovery campaign aimed at retrieving outstanding dues from citizens and commercial entities across Islamabad. A high-level meeting, chaired by Acting Chairman Talat Mehmood<\/strong>, was held at CDA Headquarters to finalize the strategy and ensure coordinated action across relevant departments.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by key officials, including Member Environment, DG Recovery, DG Building Control, DG Planning, DG Resources, Head of Treasury CDA, Chief Officer MCI, Deputy DG Enforcement, and Director DMA<\/strong>. The CDA Finance Wing<\/strong> delivered a comprehensive briefing on the authority\u2019s current financial position and outlined a detailed recovery framework.<\/p>\n

According to the CDA, a special high-level committee headed by DG Recovery<\/strong> has been formed to expedite the recovery process. The committee has developed an action plan<\/strong> focused on recovering property charges, development fees, water charges, overdue installments from CDA plot auctions, transfer fees<\/strong>, and other dues. These recovered funds will be reinvested in the development, beautification, and infrastructure of Islamabad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The CDA has formally warned that citizens with unpaid dues must clear their liabilities before June 30, 2025<\/strong>. After this deadline, defaulters will face penalties, fines, sealing or auctioning of their properties<\/strong>, and full legal action in accordance with CDA regulations. In addition, names of defaulters and property details will be publicly published in newspapers<\/strong>, which may adversely affect their reputation. The authority has made clear that it will not be held responsible for any reputational damage.<\/p>\n

To facilitate citizens, the One Window Facilitation Center at CDA Headquarters will remain open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM<\/strong>, providing extended hours to assist individuals in settling dues and avoiding post-deadline enforcement measures.<\/p>\n

The CDA emphasized that the Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, and DG Civil Defence Muhammad Ali Randhawa are personally overseeing the recovery campaign<\/strong>. They have issued clear instructions for strict legal action against individuals and institutions who fail to pay their outstanding dues<\/strong> within the stipulated timeframe.<\/p>\n
