The District Health Office Islamabad, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health\u2019s vector control teams, has conducted targeted anti-dengue operations in high-risk neighborhoods of Union Council Bhara Kahu. Over the past three days, teams visited 2,460 homes, carrying out a comprehensive range of activities to detect and eliminate mosquito breeding sites and curb the spread of dengue fever.<\/p>\n
During these visits, health workers conducted household surveillance, identified and removed mosquito larvae, sprayed insecticides, traced patients, inspected water storage areas, cleaned open containers, performed spot checks, fumigated at-risk locations, and organized community awareness sessions. <\/p>\n
Officials report that these concerted measures have led to a significant decline in dengue cases in the affected areas. The District Health Office continues to maintain vigilant city-wide dengue monitoring, rapid response, and control activities to minimize the threat of outbreaks.<\/p>\n
Residents are advised to take the following precautions to prevent dengue:
\n– Clean water containers, tanks, flower pots, coolers, and fridge trays daily
\n– Wear full-sleeved clothing
\n– Use mosquito repellent sprays and lotions
\n– Sleep under mosquito nets
\n– Install mesh screens on windows and doors<\/p>\n
