Officials stressed that immediate precautionary action by communities is vital to protect public safety.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"928\" data-end=\"1177\">Floodwaters have severely compromised clean water sources, raising the likelihood of surges in <strong data-start=\"1023\" data-end=\"1073\">cholera, typhoid, and other diarrheal diseases<\/strong>. Citizens have been strongly urged to adopt strict hygiene and safety protocols to minimize exposure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1179\" data-end=\"1490\">At the same time, the vast pools of stagnant water left behind are serving as breeding grounds for mosquitoes, increasing the threat of <strong data-start=\"1315\" data-end=\"1340\">vector-borne diseases<\/strong>.
