Three senior officers of the Pakistan Navy\u2014Commodore Muhammad Shahnawaz Khan, Commodore Asim Sohail Malik, and Commodore Sohail Ahmad Azmie\u2014have been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral. The promotions recognize their distinguished service and significant contributions to the Pakistan Navy.<\/p>\n
Rear Admiral Muhammad Shahnawaz Khan, commissioned in the Supply Branch in 1993, is an alumnus of both Pakistan Navy War College and National Defence University in Islamabad. During his extensive career, he has held various leadership and administrative roles, including Commanding Officer at General Stores Depot and PNS RAZA, Director Procurement, Director Pay, Pension and Accounts, as well as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Education). He is currently serving as Director General of Munitions Productions at the Ministry of Defence Productions in Islamabad.<\/p>\n
Rear Admiral Asim Sohail Malik, who joined the Operations Branch in 1995, has completed advanced military education in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and China. He has commanded ships such as PNS ZARRAR and PNS SHAMSHEER, led mine warfare squadrons, and held several important positions at Naval Headquarters, including Director Operational Research and Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operational Plan). Additionally, he has served as Commander Combined Task Force 150 at Combined Maritime Forces in Bahrain. He is now serving as Director General C4I at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.<\/p>\n
Rear Admiral Sohail Ahmad Azmie joined the Operations Branch in 1996 and was trained at Britannia Royal Naval College in the UK, Pakistan Navy War College, and National Defence University. Throughout his career, he has commanded vessels and squadrons, served as Commandant of Pakistan Naval Academy, and held appointments at the Naval Headquarters, including Assistant Chief of Naval Staff. He also served as Commander Combined Task Force 151 in Bahrain and Deputy Commandant of Pakistan Navy War College. He is currently Commander Central Punjab and Commandant of Pakistan Navy War College in Lahore.<\/p>\n
