The event, organized by Anjuman Islamia at Daulat Gate and attended by senior politicians, religious leaders and large numbers of citizens, included tributes to the armed forces, calls for philanthropic support for flood relief, and a ceremonial turban-tying for the organization\u2019s president.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the celebrations, Gilani described the Prophet\u2019s life as a source of faith, knowledge and moral guidance, and emphasized that Islam promotes peace while education is essential for Pakistan\u2019s stability and prosperity. He extended greetings to the nation on 12 Rabi\u2019 al-Awwal and highlighted the occasion\u2019s spiritual significance.<\/p>\n<p>Gilani praised Anjuman Islamia for its contributions to education in southern Punjab, particularly Multan, noting the organization\u2019s establishment of merit-based, non-discriminatory institutions. He singled out the group\u2019s president, Syed Imran-ul-Hasan Gilani, for his commitment to promoting learning.<\/p>\n<p>Linking the observance to national service, Gilani said the concurrence of 12 Rabi\u2019 al-Awwal with Defence Day carries a special message. He paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces, affirming that the sacrifices of its personnel have preserved the country\u2019s security and stature as a nuclear power.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the ongoing flood emergency, Gilani urged a collective national response to rehabilitate those affected. He called on philanthropists, charities and civic organizations to stand alongside the government in relief and recovery efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, who joined Gilani on the platform, echoed calls for unity, saying the Prophet\u2019s example teaches love and solidarity. He paid respects to the nation\u2019s martyrs on Defence Day and appealed to political parties to set aside differences and cooperate in serving flood victims.<\/p>\n<p>The program culminated in a large Anjuman Islamia-hosted ceremony attended by political, religious and social figures, during which Gilani, Governor Kundi and other dignitaries performed the traditional turban-tying for Anjuman Islamia president Syed Imran-ul-Hasan Gilani. Notable attendees included the sajjada nashin of the Dargah Hazrat Musa Pak Shahid, Syed Abu al-Hasan Gilani; Members of the National Assembly Syed Ali Musa Gilani and Syed Ali Qasim Gilani; veteran politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi; and Khawaja Rizwan Alam, senior vice president of the PPP\u2019s South Punjab wing.<\/p>\n<p>Participants concluded the gathering by pledging to promote knowledge, unity and peace.
