Economic and trade cooperation was a central focus. The Thai delegation expressed interest in doubling bilateral trade and advancing negotiations toward a Free Trade Agreement. They highlighted opportunities to expand business ties in tourism, culture and services, and identified the halal food industry as a promising area for collaboration.<\/p>\n
Delegates also recommended broader cooperation in education, information technology and skills development to support long-term economic engagement. Both sides discussed establishing a counterpart Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Thai Parliament to institutionalize legislative cooperation and facilitate joint initiatives.<\/p>\n
Improving connectivity and the business environment were raised as practical priorities. Participants discussed measures to facilitate travel, including increasing direct flights, and creating a more business-friendly climate to encourage investment and bilateral commerce.<\/p>\n
