In response, Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher has released $5 million from the UN CERF, which is managed by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. The allocation is intended to enable UN agencies and partner organizations to deliver immediate life-saving assistance, including emergency cash transfers to affected families.<\/p>\n
