Dr Muhammad Afzal Babar, founder and central president of the Private Schools Network, inaugurated the closing ceremony of a teacher training workshop held at Air University\u2019s Department of Mathematics, highlighting the central role of teachers in bringing positive social change and the need for new digital-era skills. The program\u2014organized in collaboration with the Federal Board and the university\u2014brought together educators from government, semi-government and private schools in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Wah for specialized training tied to the new mathematics curriculum for classes ten and eleven. Certificates were distributed to participants, resource persons and organizers, and attendees toured a Higher Education Commission model classroom designed for blended digital and face-to-face learning.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the event, Dr Babar stressed that teachers are the true agents of constructive change in any society and urged them to acquire skills that will help shape the next generation into responsible citizens in the digital age. He praised the collaborative effort that made the workshop possible and commended the emphasis on practical classroom skills and curriculum alignment.<\/p>\n
Organizers said this was the first time in Pakistan that teacher training was conducted in close collaboration with the authors of the Federal Board\u2019s new mathematics textbooks for classes ten and eleven. The Air University Mathematics Department described the program as an innovative response to the learning challenges faced by matriculation and intermediate students, aiming to bridge gaps in understanding through targeted teacher development.<\/p>\n
Professor Dr Salim Ullah and his faculty were thanked for their expert teamwork in delivering the training in a supportive environment. The workshop drew teachers from across Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Wah and included contributions from resource persons Dr Khalid Mahmood, Muhammad Anwar-ul-Haq, Dr Naveed Akmal and Muhammad Dabir Mughal. The organizing team, led by Dr Tahreem, Dr Anbreen and Dr Javeria, was also acknowledged for making the workshop meaningful and effective.<\/p>\n
At the conclusion of the ceremony Dr Babar presented certificates to the workshop organizers, resource persons and participants.
