Convener Zahra Wadood Fatemi highlighted the absence of a counterpart parliamentary friendship group in Canada and urged the High Commissioner to actively pursue its establishment, calling it a vital step toward institutionalizing parliamentary ties between the two legislatures. She stressed the importance of strengthening institutional linkages and maintaining sustained parliamentary engagement.<\/p>\n
Members of the Group called for enhanced high-level parliamentary exchanges and greater people-to-people connectivity, including cultural programs, student exchange schemes and expanded scholarship opportunities. They also recommended exploring joint initiatives in sports diplomacy, capacity-building and youth development to broaden the foundation of bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
