The facility, officials say, will increase parking capacity and is part of broader efforts to modernize civic amenities and reduce traffic pressure in the federal capital.<\/p>\n<p>Randhawa was accompanied by Member Administration and Estate Talat Mehmood, Member Engineering Syed Nifasat Raza, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon and other relevant officers during the visit to the site inside the Pak Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>According to the briefing given to the chairman, the parking area covers about 133,729 square feet and can accommodate more than 1,000 vehicles. Officials said the new facility will serve Pak Secretariat staff as well as employees and visitors of nearby government offices, easing chronic parking shortages in the precinct.<\/p>\n<p>Randhawa described the project as part of the CDA\u2019s push to upgrade urban services and make Islamabad a more orderly and citizen-friendly capital. He noted that resolving basic issues such as parking will help reduce traffic congestion and save time and energy for the public.<\/p>\n<p>He praised the engineering wing and the project team for their work, saying such initiatives are essential to improve government employees\u2019 efficiency and enhance public convenience. To keep the parking system orderly, he directed that vehicles be parked only in designated spaces and covered sheds and ordered prominent signboards be installed to guide users.<\/p>\n<p>The chairman also ordered immediate improvements and expansion of the existing parking area adjacent to the central mosque within the Pak Secretariat and directed that the facility be activated without delay. He called for a new parking facility near the mosque to ensure a lasting solution for the Secretariat and surrounding offices.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure user safety and comfort, Randhawa instructed that security arrangements, lighting and cleanliness be provided and maintained at the parking site.
