Zakat Foundation of America Pakistan has established a medical camp in the flood-hit village of Gagha Sarai near Pattoki, providing medical treatment, vaccinations, free medicines and livestock fodder to residents affected by recent floods. During his visit, Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan commended the Zakat Foundation\u2019s efforts, calling the medical camp \u201ca great service to humanity.\u201d He emphasized that the government values organizations that mobilize resources quickly to help people cope with natural disasters.<\/p>\n
Local residents have suffered significant losses from floods along the Ravi River, which destroyed crops, damaged homes and left many without basic necessities. The camp aims to address immediate health and livelihood needs arising from that damage.<\/p>\n
Medical teams at the camp provided separate treatment areas for male and female patients and distributed free medicines for common conditions such as fever, malaria, stomach and skin infections. Vaccination services were also offered to reduce the risk of disease outbreaks in the aftermath of flooding.<\/p>\n
Recognizing the impact on farmers, the foundation supplied fodder for livestock to help sustain animals on which many families depend for income and food. Local residents expressed gratitude for the relief, saying the services brought much-needed relief and hope.<\/p>\n
