Helvetas Pakistan and IDEA convened the meeting as part of their role supporting the Planning & Development Department\u2019s rural enterprise and transformation program. Their engagement helped bring together community members, local leaders, and development actors to discuss structures for collective action and business mobilization.<\/p>\n
The General Body Meeting in Rumbur Valley concluded with the formal establishment of the first women PFCO under RCU Chitral. The PFCO (a local farmers\u2019 organization) will provide a platform for women to participate in decision making, access agricultural and market support, and organize around shared production and sales activities.<\/p>\n
Stakeholders described the move as a breakthrough for inclusive development in the Kalash community, where women\u2019s formal participation in agribusiness leadership has been limited.
