Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal visited Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University in Islamabad to review the institution\u2019s academic programs, administrative affairs, and research initiatives, and to urge a stronger emphasis on ethical training and modern preventive disciplines such as Lifestyle Medicine.<\/p>\n
During the visit, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Tanveer Khaliq briefed the minister on the university\u2019s administrative structure, academic offerings, and ongoing research projects. Dr. Khaliq outlined the university\u2019s commitment to elevating teaching and research standards and to delivering medical education and training that meet international benchmarks.<\/p>\n
Minister Kamal stressed the importance of producing highly competent physicians who can represent Pakistan with distinction both domestically and internationally. He said that doctors are regarded by the public as healers and that compassionate, humble, and respectful care significantly contributes to the healing process.<\/p>\n
Emphasizing the human dimension of medicine, the minister noted that healthcare institutions are places people turn to in times of pain and illness, and therefore medical professionals must ensure dignity and respect for patients in addition to clinical care.<\/p>\n
