A new Center of Excellence in Gaming & Animation (CEGA) has been established through a partnership between Ignite \u2014 the National Technology Fund under the Ministry of IT & Telecom \u2014 and HUM Network Limited to develop Pakistan\u2019s gaming and animation sector and convert local creative talent into a competitive global workforce.<\/p>\n
The agreement to create CEGA was formally signed in a ceremony attended by senior officials from Ignite and HUM Network. The initiative aims to build a dedicated hub that combines industry-focused training, startup support, and market access to accelerate the growth of Pakistan\u2019s creative industries.<\/p>\n
CEGA\u2019s operational targets include incubating 200 startups over the next five years and providing training to 10,000 individuals in gaming, animation and interactive content. The center will also offer 100 free co-working seats to promising creators and early-stage teams to support collaboration and product development.<\/p>\n
Federal Minister for IT & Telecom Shaza Fatima Khawaja attended the signing ceremony and underscored the government\u2019s commitment to empowering youth through innovation, digital skills and entrepreneurship. Officials said the partnership reflects a broader strategy to expand digital opportunities and job creation in the creative economy.<\/p>\n
Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, mentorship programs and channels for global market exposure, CEGA is designed to attract talent, foster commercially viable projects and strengthen industry linkages. Organizers expect the center to position Pakistan as a regional hub for gaming and animation and to contribute to sustainable economic growth by nurturing the next generation of digital creators.<\/p>\n
