The meeting brought together senior representatives: Mr. Asif Hussain, Director of Planning and Development at the Higher Education Commission, and Mrs. Sadaf Akram, Deputy Director of Monitoring and Evaluation at the HEC. From the British Council, Iftikhar Ahmed, Head of Non\u2011Formal Education, and Aun Naqvi, Programme Manager for Non\u2011Formal Education, attended. Syeda Amnah Batool, MNA and focal person for the Prime Minister\u2019s Youth Programme, was also present.<\/p>\n
Participants discussed the Green Youth Movement\u2019s objectives and explored how to mobilize and equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and platforms needed for effective climate action and sustainability initiatives. Emphasis was placed on leveraging non\u2011formal education, institutional support, and monitoring frameworks to ensure measurable impact.<\/p>\n
Officials outlined the importance of collaboration between PMYP, the HEC and the British Council to expand outreach, build youth leadership, and integrate environmental priorities into youth programming.
