Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General Kinza Murtaza chaired a meeting to welcome newly appointed officers and review progress on key development projects, urging staff to prioritize public relief, enforce regulations, and accelerate project delivery where possible.<\/p>\n
The meeting opened with formal introductions for the newly appointed officers and a call from DG Kinza Murtaza for strict implementation of government policies. She emphasized that RDA staff are public servants who must address citizen grievances promptly and work with honesty, dedication, and adherence to rules and regulations.<\/p>\n
DG Murtaza instructed the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate to launch public awareness efforts about Building and Zoning Regulations and to take firm action against illegal housing schemes, unauthorized construction, and unapproved commercial activities. She stressed that enforcement should be carried out impartially and that protecting public interests must remain a top priority.<\/p>\n
Turning to infrastructure, the DG highlighted major initiatives including the Ring Road and Nullah Lai Expressway projects and directed the Engineering Directorate to expedite work. She said projects should not be delayed where there are no physical impediments and recommended extending working hours when necessary to reduce public inconvenience.<\/p>\n
