He was warmly received by NPC Secretary and Vice President Syed Zafar Hashmi, Senior Joint Secretary Shiraz Gardezi, Governing Body Member Amir Rafiq Butt, Naveed Ahmed Sheikh, Jafar Ali Balti and other members.<\/p>\n<p>NPC officials thanked the chairman for supporting the renovation and requested two air conditioners and a computer lab to benefit members. Rana Mashhood said the requests would be considered sympathetically, noting it was his first visit to the club and expressing eagerness for future collaboration to strengthen facilities through the Youth Programme.<\/p>\n<p>He announced that online courses available under the Youth Programme will be extended to young journalists and their children, and confirmed plans to distribute laptops to youth as part of broader efforts in education, entrepreneurship and sports development. He highlighted that Pakistan now ranks fourth globally in e-commerce, underscoring opportunities for young entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p>Rana Mashhood praised Pakistan&#8217;s media for timely, fact-based reporting during the recent Pakistan-India tensions, saying it exposed false narratives spread by India\u2019s &#8216;godi media&#8217; and helped uphold Pakistan&#8217;s standing internationally. He noted the warm receptions for the Prime Minister and the Army Chief during visits to China and Saudi Arabia as signs of growing respect for Pakistan abroad.<\/p>\n<p>On sports, he said the Kashmir Premier League and Pakistan Super League provide platforms to showcase national talent and that 23 Olympic-recognised sports have been prioritised to raise standards and win international medals.
