The Women Technology Park in Bagh, Azad Kashmir has been completed as a dedicated space to enable women in technology, with a soft launch scheduled for 23 September. Located at Women University Bagh, the new facility offers a modern 5,000 square feet workspace designed specifically for women-led teams and startups in IT and IT services.<\/p>\n
Funded and developed by the Pakistan Software Export Board at a cost of 31 million rupees, the Women Technology Park was built in collaboration with the Special Communications Organization and Women University Bagh. The project provides infrastructure and facilities intended to support IT and software service companies as well as emerging women entrepreneurs in the region.<\/p>\n
An open house planned around the soft launch will invite IT companies, women-led startups and professionals from the technology sector to experience the park and explore partnerships. The Women Technology Park aims to offer local access to global-standard facilities so women in the area can pursue innovation and employment without relocating to larger cities.<\/p>\n
Pakistan Software Export Board says the Women Technology Park represents the country\u2019s first dedicated technology park for women and is intended to create equal opportunities while helping women overcome social and structural barriers. The board also notes the project aligns with United Nations sustainable development goals and is expected to generate new avenues for innovation and jobs for women in the region.<\/p>\n
