Dr. Shahida Rehmani<\/strong>, Secretary of the Women\u2019s Parliamentary Caucus, joined Dr. Nafisa Shah MNA<\/strong>, Chairperson of the Special Committee on Gender Mainstreaming, MNA Syeda Shehla Raza<\/strong>, and Dr. Allama Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi<\/strong>, Chairman of the Islamic Ideology Council, to deliberate on measures that align Islamic jurisprudence with Pakistani law so women consistently receive their rightful shares without discrimination or coercion.<\/p>\n Participants stressed that inheritance reform must include awareness raising and capacity-building so women know their legal entitlements, alongside accessible complaint mechanisms for those denied their due share. The session emphasized practical steps to close the gap between statutory rights and everyday realities faced by widows, divorced women, and others vulnerable to disinheritance.<\/p>\n Dr. Naeemi affirmed that the principles of the Holy Quran and Sunnah should be reflected in both law and practice to ensure no woman is deprived of her rightful share.
