The opening fixture was a back-and-forth affair as Port Qasim struck early through Hassan Shahbaz in the 3rd minute with a well-taken field goal. Customs steadied themselves and drew level on the stroke of half-time when Muhammad Ahmad finished another strong field attack in the 30th minute. The second half intensified when Bilal Aslam converted a penalty corner in the 43rd minute to put Customs ahead, only for Aleem Usman to reply from a penalty corner two minutes later, restoring parity at 2-2 and setting up a gripping finish.<\/p>\n
PAF produced a clinical display in the later match, using speed and structure to overwhelm Army. Yasir Ali emerged as the protagonist with two brilliant field goals in the 25th and 59th minutes, while drag-flick specialists Abdul Manan and Rizwan Ali added goals from penalty corners in the 28th and 43rd minutes respectively. Army were unable to match PAF’s finishing efficiency and pace, leaving the Air Force to claim a convincing 4-0 victory.<\/p>\n
Olympian Tahir Zaman attended the matches as the chief guest and lauded the players’ passion and fighting spirit, urging continued hard work to reach international levels.
