The Department of Fine Arts at Rawalpindi Women University partnered with the Department of Computer Arts at Fatima Jinnah Women University and the Emergency Operation Center Punjab to stage a poster competition promoting a polio-free future and reinforcing polio eradication through youth engagement. The initiative was aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 on good health and well-being and aimed to mobilize creative talent in public health advocacy.<\/p>\n
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Rooh-ul-Ameen, chairperson of English and Fine Arts at RWU. Dr. Ihsan Ghani, Chief Executive Officer of the District Health Authority Rawalpindi, served as guest of honor and emphasized that polio vaccines are completely safe<\/strong>, reaffirming plans to vaccinate 650,000 children<\/strong> this year as part of the national drive toward polio eradication.<\/p>\n A panel shortlisted 27 entries and winners were announced during the ceremony where prizes and certificates were presented by Dr. Ihsan Ghani and Prof. Dr. Rooh-ul-Ameen. The top prize was awarded to Fatima Naveed<\/strong> of FJWU, with Javeria Aqleem<\/strong> (RWU) taking second place and Iman Asif<\/strong> (RWU) finishing third.
