Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar<\/strong>, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, held a telephone conversation with Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud<\/strong>, Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, to discuss regional developments with particular focus on the situation in Gaza. The ministers reviewed ongoing diplomatic efforts taking place in New York involving eight Arab-Islamic countries and the United States that are aimed at securing an immediate and durable Gaza ceasefire and ensuring unhindered humanitarian assistance for civilians.<\/p>\n

Both leaders assessed recent engagements and consultations and the Deputy Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued engagement and constructive role in these efforts. The dialogue underlined the priority of translating diplomatic momentum into concrete measures that protect civilians and open reliable channels for aid delivery.<\/p>\n

The conversation also addressed Hamas\u2019 response to the proposal of President Donald Trump, with both ministers emphasizing the urgent need to halt hostilities so humanitarian relief can reach those in need. Pakistan reiterated its support for approaches that prioritise civilian protection and sustainable mechanisms for assistance.<\/p>\n

Both ministers reaffirmed their firm commitment to the Palestinian cause and agreed to remain closely engaged with Arab and Islamic partners as well as the wider international community to advance a just, comprehensive and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.
