He noted that roughly 70 percent of Pakistan’s population is youth, a fact driving the program’s broad focus on skills, capital and job pathways.

Naqvi outlined key support measures under the Prime Minister Youth Program, saying entrepreneurs receive grants of Rs 300,000 to launch businesses and that job-seeking youth can obtain loans of up to Rs 100,000 to cover visa and travel costs. He added that Rs 60 billion has been allocated in the current fiscal year for these initiatives and that more than Rs 160 billion has already been released to create overseas employment opportunities and domestic training through the digital Youth Hub.

The laptop initiative has been reinstated to support higher education, with a target to distribute one million laptops by October. University grants and scholarships have also been restored, and increases to education funding are expected in the next budget to further expand access and opportunity.

Sports and cultural programs are integral to the Prime Minister Youth Program, Naqvi said, citing national-level athletes such as Arshad Nadeem who are receiving training and noting that traditional sports events are being showcased in Islamabad with the participation of foreign diplomats. He highlighted recent engagement with the Chairman of the Commonwealth Youth Alliance Secretariat and the Youth Ministers Task Force as a step toward deeper international cooperation.

An upcoming Youth Festival will offer training, job placements and startup support, along with master classes to teach world-class skills. During a question and answer session, participants raised concerns about transparent loan distribution, employment pathways and overseas education budgets. Naqvi responded that the government’s vision is to provide skills, capital and opportunities, while urging youth to take advantage of the resources and pathways now available.

Naqvi invited the Pakistani diaspora to support cultural and sports exchanges and acknowledged community contributions by presenting shields to several diaspora leaders. The ceremony, organized by Sohail Pirzada, was attended and appreciated by community figures including Ahmed Siddiqui, Ayaz Syed, Dr. Abdul Basit, Raja Zahid, Jalal Haider, Omar Pirzada and Obaid-ur-Rehman Pirzada, who praised the ongoing efforts to expand opportunities under the Prime Minister Youth Program.

Prime Minister Youth Program boosts loans, laptops and overseas jobs with one million laptops by October and new funding to support youth startups.

[94

post-12166","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pakistan
["GET
