The session brought together senior health officials including the Secretary Health, Additional Secretary, Director General Health, Director General (FDI) and the NEOC national coordinator to review current efforts and plan next steps.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from WHO, UNICEF and Gavi participated and exchanged views on vaccination plans, operational coordination and partner support. Officials presented a review of the annual polio budget, examining total costs and the financial and operational implications for upcoming campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>A detailed performance report on the ongoing vaccination campaign was presented to the meeting. Emphasising that polio eradication is a national responsibility, the Federal Minister urged adoption of targeted and effective strategies in partnership with international agencies to ensure every child is reached.<\/p>\n<p>Deliberations covered practical measures to keep children safe from poliovirus and addressed the challenges that hinder full coverage.
