The annual concluding prayer at Mansar Sharif for the urs of revered spiritual figure Baba Kalu Sarkar saw thousands of devotees gather in a display of devotion and communal harmony. The closing ceremony was presided over by the shrine’s sajjada nashin Raja Sarfraz Akram and attended by provincial and national leaders, spiritual figures, and guests from across Pakistan.<\/p>\n
The programme featured extended Quran recitation, naat, collective zikr and a special supplication for the Muslim ummah, Pakistan’s security and stability, and for unity across the Islamic world. Throughout the event the Mansar Sharif urs<\/strong> atmosphere remained deeply spiritual, with participants engaged in prayer and reflection.<\/p>\n Raja Sarfraz Akram told attendees that the core of Baba Kalu Sarkar’s teachings is love, tolerance, sincerity and service to humanity, and urged people to adopt the message of the Sufi elders as a timely need for society. He described Mansar Sharif as a long-standing centre of inter-sect harmony and national cohesion that attracts pilgrims from within Pakistan and abroad.<\/p>\n Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi praised the legacy of Sufi saints who brought light of love, patience, knowledge and public service to the land, and encouraged citizens to embrace those values to foster a peaceful and balanced society. He commended the shrine management and thanked devotees for their strong turnout at the urs.<\/p>\n Other notable attendees included Member of National Assembly Anjum Aqeel Khan, Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah, Ali Dar, Dr Riaz Janjua, Raja Imtiaz Janjua, Raja Faiq, Raja Shehzad, Raja Haider, Waseem Abbas, Brigadier Asif, Syed Bashir Hussain Shah, Chaudhry Zia, Arsalan Masood, Chaudhry Gulfraz, Sigham, prominent ulema and mashaykh, former bureaucrats, journalists and representatives of various organisations.<\/p>\n Organisers arranged extensive facilities for pilgrims, including langar services, accommodation and meals, security and traffic management to ensure a well-ordered event.
