A two-day Digital Literacy Program (DLP) in Sialkot brought together 35 women entrepreneurs in a practical effort to strengthen digital skills and online business readiness. The programme was organised by the TDAP Women Entrepreneur Division in collaboration with CIRCLE Women Association and the Sialkot Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and aimed to make digital literacy an accessible tool for local businesses to scale.<\/p>\n
Ms. Ayesha Mehmood<\/strong>, lead trainer from CIRCLE Women Association, guided an interactive cohort through core topics designed for immediate application. The sessions covered digital presence and branding essentials, social media marketing and content creation, online selling platforms and marketplaces, financial literacy for business growth, and the use of AI tools in business management to improve efficiency and decision making.<\/p>\n The trainers emphasised shifting from traditional business models to a digitally-driven mindset so participants could explore e-commerce channels, reach customers beyond local borders and manage operations with contemporary tools. Practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises during the DLP helped participants start building an effective online presence and test marketplace strategies relevant to Sialkot’s export-oriented economy.<\/p>\n Organisers noted that improving digital literacy among women entrepreneurs is central to inclusive economic growth, enabling small firms and home-based businesses to access larger markets, improve financial planning and adopt technology such as AI to streamline workflows.
