The Career Counseling Center at the International Islamic University Islamabad female campus partnered with trainee counselors from the Department of Psychology to hold sessions titled “Access to Counseling and Psychological Services” during World Mental Health Week. The activity aimed to raise awareness of available campus support and to encourage help-seeking among students.<\/p>\n
The sessions took place in the Seminar Room of Maryam Block and were attended by senior campus leadership, including Prof. Dr. Amna Mahmood<\/strong> as chief guest. Other notable attendees were Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheman<\/strong> (Vice President Administration & Finance \/ Vice President Academics), Dr. Inaam-ul-Haq<\/strong> (Director Works) and Dr. Rukhsana Tariq<\/strong> (Student Advisor), who underscored the university’s support for student wellbeing.<\/p>\n Trainee counselors delivered practical talks on issues commonly affecting students, such as overthinking, anger and time management, boundary setting, self-criticism, exam stress and career planning. Presenters offered evidence-informed strategies for emotional regulation, improving productivity and aligning career goals with individual strengths, reinforcing the role of IIUI counseling services in everyday student life.<\/p>\n The initiative was supervised by Dr. Mamoona Ismail Loona<\/strong> and attracted active participation from students across departments.
