On 15 October 2025 in Islamabad, Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani<\/strong> met with the Ambassador of Palestine to discuss bilateral ties, the regional situation, post-ceasefire peace efforts in Palestine, and ongoing humanitarian assistance. The discussion underlined the longstanding Pakistan Palestine relationship rooted in religious, historical and brotherly bonds.<\/p>\n

Chairman Senate Gilani<\/strong> warmly welcomed the ambassador and reaffirmed that the people and Parliament of Pakistan stand in complete solidarity with the Palestinian people. He strongly condemned Israel’s aggression and serious human rights violations, including the killing of innocent civilians, and voiced Pakistan’s continued support for justice and protection of civilians.<\/p>\n

Gilani recalled that during his tenure as Prime Minister he consistently supported the Palestinian right to self-determination and raised concerns about Israeli atrocities at international forums. He paid tribute to the courage and resilience of the Palestinian people, saying their sacrifices have written a new chapter in history and that the recent ceasefire offers a renewed ray of hope for lasting peace.<\/p>\n

Reiterating Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting global peace, the Chairman stressed that a just resolution of the Palestinian issue is central to durable stability in the Middle East. He affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the establishment of an independent, viable and contiguous State of Palestine in accordance with relevant UN resolutions and pre-1967 borders<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The meeting also highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic advocacy for Palestine at the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Non-Aligned Movement. The Palestinian ambassador acknowledged Pakistan’s assistance for the people of Gaza and noted that Pakistani universities are offering higher education opportunities to Palestinian students.<\/p>\n

Urging greater unity across the Muslim world, the Chairman called on all Muslim countries to raise a collective voice for Palestine, stressing that the issue transcends national politics and is a matter of conscience for the Ummah. He reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with its Palestinian brothers, providing political, diplomatic, moral and humanitarian support until their just cause is realized.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
