Global Experts Gather in Rawalpindi for 2nd International Precision Agriculture Conference at Arid University<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rawalpindi: <\/strong>Pakistan\u2019s agriculture sector is set to take a major leap toward innovation and sustainability as the 2nd International Precision Agriculture Conference & Expo<\/strong> begins on October 20, 2025<\/strong>, at the Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR)<\/strong>. The three-day event will feature leading experts and researchers from Canada, the USA, China, and other countries<\/strong>, making it one of the largest global forums on agricultural technology ever hosted in Pakistan.<\/p>\n

The conference, organized under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman<\/strong>, is being hailed as a landmark initiative aimed at modernizing Pakistan\u2019s agriculture through digital and precision-based technologies. Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Prof. Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry<\/strong> will attend as the chief guest at the opening ceremony, while Senator and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Mr. Rana Sana Ullah Khan<\/strong> will inaugurate the Agri-Expo<\/strong>, which will run parallel to the main conference.<\/p>\n

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman emphasized that the conference represents a \u201cturning point\u201d in Pakistan\u2019s pursuit of agricultural self-sufficiency. \u201cWe are bringing together global expertise to help local farmers transition from traditional to precision farming systems,\u201d he said, adding that collaboration between international researchers and domestic stakeholders will help Pakistan tackle pressing issues like water scarcity, crop loss, and yield optimization.<\/p>\n

By promoting dialogue between policymakers, scientists, and agribusiness leaders, the event seeks to build pathways for transforming Pakistan\u2019s agriculture into a high-efficiency, technology-driven sector.
