Raimundas Karoblis, Ambassador of the European Union to Pakistan, to reinforce collaboration on child protection priorities. The Chairperson welcomed the Ambassador to his new posting and expressed gratitude for the EU&#8217;s sustained support delivered through UNDP under the Haqooq-e-Pakistan II programme.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairperson briefed the delegation on NCRC&#8217;s recent and ongoing work, highlighting legislative and policy efforts to end child marriage, eliminate child labour, and ensure universal birth registration. She also detailed measures to prevent and respond to child sexual abuse and to address all forms of violence against children, underlining how these actions strengthen child protection across Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>The EU Ambassador praised NCRC&#8217;s extensive work for children&#8217;s rights and reaffirmed the European Union&#8217;s commitment to support initiatives that safeguard the welfare of children. He noted the importance of sustained cooperation through UNDP and discussed the forthcoming GSP+ Monitoring Mission, stressing the role of measurable progress on human rights and child protection commitments for Pakistan&#8217;s international engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination to translate policy commitments into practical results for children, with continued technical and programmatic support envisaged under existing partnership channels.
