On 24 October 2025 the Inter Boards Coordination Committee (IBCC), in collaboration with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) and under the auspices of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, completed a two-day national workshop on exam digitalization at the Federal Board auditorium in Islamabad.<\/p>\n
The Minister of State for Federal Education and Vocational Training, Wajeeha Qamar<\/strong>, was the guest of honor on the second day and commended IBCC and FBISE for their vision and steps to introduce technology-driven reforms. She underscored that the government will support all examination boards in adopting digital transformation so that assessment processes become more transparent, reliable and student-focused.<\/p>\n Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah<\/strong>, Executive Director IBCC, opened proceedings with welcoming remarks and urged participants to play an active role in transferring technology and best practices from the Federal Board to other provincial and private boards. His call emphasized practical collaboration to accelerate exam digitalization across jurisdictions.<\/p>\n Prof Dr Ikram Ali Malik<\/strong>, Chairman FBISE, presented a detailed account of the initiative and explained how the digitalization reforms were shaped under the ministry\u2019s strategic leadership. The session highlighted how coordinated policy and operational support can enable consistent rollout of new systems nationwide.<\/p>\n Dr Bashir Khan<\/strong>, Director IT Management at the Federal Board, delivered a technical presentation on the proposed technology transfer framework and showcased Federal Board innovations such as “digital answer book management”, “e-marking (on-screen marking)” and “digital scanning systems”. His presentation sparked an engaged question-and-answer segment where representatives from different examination boards offered suggestions and feedback on implementation challenges and local adaptation.<\/p>\n In recognition of leadership and collaboration, Prof Dr Ikram Ali Malik and Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah presented a shield to the Minister of State and distributed certificates to workshop chairs and participants for their active contributions.
