University officials said the decision responds to sustained weak admissions in several programs.<\/p>\n<p>Peshawar University reported that some departments recorded only one or two new students, and the institution applied a threshold to discontinue undergraduate programs with fewer than 15 admissions. The move affects a range of arts and social science offerings where intake was particularly low.<\/p>\n<p>The departments being closed include <strong>Geography, History, Home Economics, Geology, Statistics, Development Studies, Social Anthropology, Logistics and Supply Chain Analytics<\/strong> and <strong>Human Development<\/strong>. University statements named these nine programs as the ones impacted by the enrollment-based review.<\/p>\n<p>Students enrolled in affected programs are being asked to contact the administration to discuss alternative academic programs and transfer options.
