The group was led by the Dean, <strong>Prof. Armaghan Israr Mirza<\/strong>, and included fellows of the CPSP who joined discussions on advancing dental education in the province.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prof. Armaghan Israr Mirza<\/strong> outlined the institute&#8217;s clinical facilities and ongoing academic activities, highlighting plans to introduce postgraduate fellowship programs. He formally requested CPSP support for accreditation, stressing how recognition would strengthen training pathways and patient care in Lahore and surrounding districts. The delegation emphasised the readiness of institutional infrastructure to host advanced training.<\/p>\n<p>In response, <strong>Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal<\/strong> affirmed that the CPSP will assist emerging institutes in launching postgraduate programs while maintaining rigorous accreditation standards. He underlined the CPSP&#8217;s commitment to preserving high-quality training consistent with international benchmarks and said any new programs would be evaluated to ensure they meet those standards.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Gondal also welcomed the Punjab government\u2019s decision to establish a dental institute, describing it as a timely step to meet the province&#8217;s dental healthcare needs. He noted that additional accredited training centres would help distribute the patient load among institutions and expand access to specialised dental services across the region.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting marks an important step in the FJIDS accreditation effort and signals potential expansion of postgraduate dental fellowships in Lahore.
