The session brought together 30 principals from primary and secondary schools and model colleges, alongside Area Education Officers and Directors from the Federal Directorate of Education.<\/p>\n<p>The Secretary highlighted findings from recent studies showing less than satisfactory learning outcomes for class 4 and class 8 in ICT, with particular weakness in Mathematics and Science. He underlined the urgency of addressing the foundational learning crisis and stressed that heads of institutions must take a lead role in raising standards. Emphasis was placed on implementing clear quality assurance standards, strengthening monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, and expanding teachers\u2019 capacity building to secure sustainable gains in learning outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>Participants were invited to propose practical measures to uplift learning outcomes within existing resources. Principals, AEOs and FDE directors exchanged ideas on targeted interventions, classroom support and school-level accountability measures. The suggestions and recommendations from the discussion were recorded to inform a consolidated improvement strategy for Public School Education in Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting concluded with a commitment to follow up on the agreed points and to ensure effective execution of the decisions taken during the session.
