Implemented in partnership with CARE Pakistan, this initiative is training 8,000 home-based chefs, 80% of whom are women, to scale up their micro-businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The Coca-Cola sustainability pavilion at Sustainable Development Conference was inaugurated by Mr. Hakan Ergen, Vice President of Coca-Cola Eurasia &amp; Middle East.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"B Roll Coca Cola at Sustainable Development Conference\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ye_zGHWL3es\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>General Manager Coca-Cola Pakistan Mr. Sami Wahid, high-profile government officials, including Minister for Planning and Development Dr. Ahsan Iqbal and Minister for Climate Change Dr. Musadik Malik, visited the Coca-Cola pavilion.<\/p>\n<p>They commended Coca-Cola Pakistan\u2019s efforts in environmental stewardship, water security, waste management, and community empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>SDPI, which hosts the Sustainable Development Conference annually to advance evidence-based dialogue among policymakers and business leaders, also presented key findings of a Socio-Economic Impact Report on Coca-Cola Pakistan, analyzing the company\u2019s significant contributions to the country\u2019s GDP, employment, and tax revenues.<\/p>\n<p>The study reaffirms the Coca-Cola System\u2019s deep integration within Pakistan\u2019s economic and social fabric.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: Coca-Cola showcased its wide range of sustainability initiatives in Pakistan at the 28th Sustainable Development Conference, hosted by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI).
