SHARP CEO Mr Mudassar Javed participated in a three-day Social and Behavioral Change Communication course organized by IOM Pakistan in Murree to strengthen SBCC training skills and practical tools for community engagement.<\/p>\n
The programme combined theory and practice with sessions on problem-solving through storytelling, stakeholder mapping, behaviour change models, empathy mapping and intervention design. Participants explored campaign development using the EAST Model and the Hero’s Journey to craft messages that resonate with local audiences across Pakistan.<\/p>\n
Hands-on components were central to the SBCC training, with group activities, role plays, prototyping labs, digital spotlight discussions and reflection circles enabling teams to test ideas and refine communication approaches in real time. These exercises were designed to build capacity for designing interventions that are both evidence-based and human-centred.<\/p>\n
Mr Mudassar Javed welcomed the interactive format, noting that the methods and templates introduced during the training offer practical ways to design impactful communication strategies. He highlighted that the learning will support SHARP’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness, foster empathy and drive positive social change in communities the organisation serves.<\/p>\n
The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony led by the IOM team, reinforcing a shared commitment to advancing transformative communication approaches. Organisers and participants underlined the relevance of SBCC training for humanitarian and development actors working across Pakistan.<\/p>\n
