The visit underscored the growing role of the Punjab Registry as a foundational digital tool for evidence-led social policy across the province.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Muhammad Sarwar Gondal<\/strong>, Member Support Services and Resource Management at the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, warmly received the Vice Chairperson and provided a detailed tour of multiple Data Fest exhibits, highlighting how federal, provincial and international partners are applying data for program design and delivery. The discussions emphasised the practical link between statistical systems and frontline social protection work.<\/p>\n<p>The Punjab Registry was presented as a modern, comprehensive digital system that supports evidence-based policymaking, effective implementation of social protection programs and fair resource distribution. The Vice Chairperson praised the PSPA team&#8217;s efforts in developing and operationalising the registry and noted its potential to improve targeting and transparency across provincial services.<\/p>\n<p>Wattoo also commended efforts to mainstream digital technology and expand the use of data in social policy, saying platforms like Data Fest play a vital role in fostering coordination among institutions and promoting evidence-based decision making in Pakistan.
