The July–October average inflation of 4.7% remains markedly lower than last year’s 8.7%, supporting household purchasing power and macro stability.

Large-scale industry is showing signs of recovery as demand for raw materials and fuel picks up and industrial activity increases, helping protect employment in manufacturing and allied sectors and contributing to the broader Pakistan recovery narrative.

Fiscal performance in the first four months was resilient with the Federal Board of Revenue collecting 3.8 trillion rupees, an increase of 11.4% year-on-year, reinforcing the government’s ability to finance relief and development priorities.

External-facing sectors also strengthened: services exports rose 14.7% to $2.2 billion, led by IT exports which grew 20.5% to $1.1 billion. Worker remittances increased by 9.3% to $13.0 billion, reflecting confidence in the economy among overseas Pakistanis.

Public investment continuity was supported by approval of 330.4 billion rupees for PSDP projects and release of 134.2 billion rupees in the first four months, under a one-trillion-rupee programme that ensures project continuity. Recent project approvals are expected to create about 56,000 direct and 39,000 indirect jobs, while project inspections helped deliver roughly 2.2 billion rupees in savings.

Looking ahead, Pakistan is deepening regional cooperation under CPEC Phase II to unlock new investment and development opportunities. With nearly 60 percent of the population under 30, the government announced plans to award 10,000 PhD scholarships in artificial intelligence, engineering and emerging sciences at top Chinese universities to strengthen human capital and support long-term Pakistan recovery.

These combined measures — emergency relief, fiscal resilience, export growth, targeted public investment and skills development — underscore a focused strategy to secure sustainable recovery and rebuild stronger communities across the country.

Pakistan recovery advances as timely flood response, stronger revenues and exports, and new scholarships support sustained growth after the 2025 floods.

[94

post-14150","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pakistan
["GET
