The ceremony brought together students and faculty to reflect on Iqbal\u2019s lasting impact on Urdu literature and national thought.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr Mahmood ul Hassan Rana<\/strong>, Head of the Urdu Department at the National University of Modern Languages, served as the Chief Guest and delivered an insightful address that highlighted Iqbal\u2019s contributions to Urdu literature and philosophy. His remarks connected Iqbal\u2019s poetic themes to contemporary discourse and encouraged students to explore Iqbal\u2019s ideas with renewed interest.<\/p>\n<p>A Taht-ul-Lafz Competition formed the heart of the programme, where students recited selected verses of Iqbal with emotion and interpretive skill. <strong>Eman Esha<\/strong> from the Department of Chemistry won first place, <strong>Esha Mubashir<\/strong> of the Department of Business Administration secured second, and <strong>Isha Aslam<\/strong> from the Department of Computer Science took third position. The performances showcased the depth of student engagement with Urdu poetry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ms Sanila Aslam<\/strong>, Focal Person of the Literary &#038; Debating Society, opened the proceedings with a welcome note, while <strong>Dr Raza Ullah<\/strong>, Head of the Sociology &#038; Political Science Department, brought the ceremony to a close with remarks that celebrated student talent and the continued relevance of Iqbal\u2019s thought for Pakistan\u2019s youth.
