The talks focused on scaling Pakistan&#8217;s digital infrastructure through joint investment in national projects including data centres and network upgrades.<\/p>\n<p>The minister proposed collaborative financing and co-investment models for national digital infrastructure, highlighting the need for modern data centres and robust networks to support public services and private innovation across Pakistan. She underlined the National Fibreization Plan as a platform for greater regional cooperation to widen broadband access and connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>Delegates explored the potential of establishing a regional digital gateway via the CAREC digital corridor, a move aimed at positioning Pakistan as a key hub in South and Central Asia. The meeting also covered technical assistance and capacity building to implement cross-border connectivity projects and integrate them with Pakistan&#8217;s national priorities.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan requested ADB engagement on a Results-Based Financing approach to develop a clear digital sector roadmap, ensuring accountability and measurable outcomes for public investments. Minister Khawaja outlined requests for technical support to run public sector pilots in AI, agritech, fintech and healthtech, seeking ADB expertise to design and scale high-impact use cases.<\/p>\n<p>The two sides discussed a proposal for joint funding mechanisms to back AI and digital innovation initiatives that deliver measurable public value.
