The programme included the screening of the acclaimed film <em>Quo Vadis, Aida?<\/em> alongside the prerecorded message of President <strong>Dr. Denis Be\u0107irovi\u0107<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In his message, President Be\u0107irovi\u0107 reiterated that NATO and European Union membership are strategic goals and stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina is an indivisible part of Europe. He called for statesmen committed to realising a European and democratic Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasised that children deserve a peaceful and secure future, noting that the Statehood Day reaffirms the country&#8217;s dedication to human rights and civil liberties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ambassador \u010cohodarevi\u0107<\/strong> thanked Iqra University for hosting the event and praised the students as Pakistan\u2019s future scholars and leaders. He said meeting such dedicated young people reinforces optimism about the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina\u2013Pakistan ties and highlighted the potential for growing friendship and cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador outlined the historical significance of Bosnia Statehood Day, celebrated on November 25 to mark the 1943 decision by the Anti-Fascist Council to restore the country\u2019s statehood within its historic borders. He reminded the audience that this moment reaffirmed Bosnia and Herzegovina\u2019s multicultural and multi-ethnic character and the entitlement of all citizens to equal rights.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing bilateral relations, the ambassador described three decades of steady growth in ties characterised by friendship, mutual respect and understanding. He explained the real-life story behind the film <em>Quo Vadis, Aida?<\/em>, a drama centred on a UN translator in Srebrenica during the July 1995 genocide, and urged students to reflect on the film\u2019s questions about empathy, solidarity and the human cost of conflict.<\/p>\n<p>The university auditorium was filled with students and faculty who showed keen interest in the history and current status of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
